Salon Requirements
As a minimum each salon shall provide and maintain the following:
One shampoo bowl with hot and cold running water (esthetics and nail salons excluded)
One work station
Hand washing sink
If a restroom is shared with other business, a hand washing sink or shampoo bowl is required in the salon area.
Carpeting shall be permitted in reception area only
If you have purchased an already existing salon with carpet or rugs anywhere outside of the reception area, the carpet or rugs will have to be removed to meet current rules and regulations.
The following must be posted in the salon:
Salon license, personal and independent contractor licensees
Infection Control Standards
All salon applications must be received at the Board office fifteen (15) days prior to opening. In home salons, contact your city our county for zoning information, and contact the board office to verify that your home salon will comply with Wyoming rules and regulations regarding in home salons.
